Ismael Camenforte Lopez – fitness coach

Ismael Camenforte Lopez joined Leverkusen in the summer of 2021. After studying at the University of Barcelona the Spaniard worked as fitness coach at FC Barcelona for seven years plus 18 months at the MLS club New York City FC. The Catalan returned to Europe from the USA in August 2020 to work with the Denmark coaching set-up.

In his first season at the Werkself, Camenforte Lopez was responsible for training methods at the Kurtekotten Performance Centre and the Spaniard joined the first team coaching staff as a fitness coach at the start of the 2022/23 season.
